I have always been very interested in Edgar Allan Poe’s works. He had a unique ability for making stories not just textually appealing but also visually dark and terrifying. Reading Poe in the classroom always consisted of some of my favorite activities; so naturally, I decided to focus on what I loved the most for this plan. As far as the ordering of the lessons goes, the rationale is pretty straightforward. The lessons range in difficulty from lowest to hardest and the level of teacher involvement tends to be lessened throughout the week, promoting individuality and student leadership skills.
